Project: Uncommon

Some dogs don’t fit into familiar categories.
Their presence alone demands space.

Uncommon is a portrait-based storytelling project focused on rare, large and powerful breeds — dogs that are often misunderstood or rarely seen outside specific circles.

This includes breeds such as:

  • Dogo Argentino

  • Cane Corso

  • Central Asian Shepherd

  • Caucasian Shepherd

  • Presa Canario

  • Rare working-line mixes

  • Special mention: I would love to photograph a Saluki

  • If you think you have a dog breed that fits this category, you can also contact me!

The goal is to show character, structure and presence — not stereotypes.

This project is ideal for owners who understand their dog deeply and are comfortable with a quiet, controlled approach. (But if you want, it is also possible to shoot some more intimidating photos)

Uncommon is about visibility without sensationalism.
